Treatment for Glaucoma : New non-invasive surgery

tratamiento

So far trabeculectomy was the standard intervention for the surgical treatment of glaucoma but new developments point to a new surgery much less invasive, non-perforating.
Since 5 years ago, VISSUM Corporación Oftalmológica performes non-perforating deep esclerectomy intervention which avoids to enter inside the eye. The postoperative period is much more comfortable for the patient and the recovery faster.
At present,  surgical procedure is frecuently indicated for the efficient treatment of glaucoma.  New non-perforating techniques allow greater safety and fewer complications compared to traditional techniques. However, and depending on the patient, it is more suitable performing  the trabeculectomy.
